Meet Coach Lexi

I grew up in the mountains of Colorado in an ultra running family. I was exposed to the lore and the magic of the sport at a young age, competing in junior Olympics and varsity track and cross country throughout my school years. However, after struggling with anxiety and under-fueling, I was forced to take a step back from the sport and rediscover my love on my own terms.

After college, at the age of 23, I ran my first marathon with almost no training, finishing in 5 hours and 15 minutes. I continued to run a marathon or two a year, largely off the couch or with irregular and unhealthy training. On a whim, I decided to focus my training. I read books, I followed plans, I adjusted my sleep, my eating, drinking, and training. I first took an hour off, then whittled down my time to get my first Boston Qualifier and then an eventual PR of 3:12. I also began to dabble in ultras, completing several 50ks, 50 milers, and the Leadville Trail 100.

I decided that if I was able to make this sort of improvement, anyone could, so I completed my certification through UESCA and began coaching in 2018. In 2019, I was able to move to coaching full-time, taking my past experience from working in mental health to better inform my coaching and ensure I was helping athletes reach their full potential while staying emotionally healthy.

In 2021, I had my first son, and I needed to adapt my training to be more efficient. I continued to make adaptations as my second son was born in 2024 and I transitioned to single parenthood in 2025.

I love helping athletes train through their own life transitions while continuing to take good care of themselves. While I have worked with athletes of all ability levels and distances, one of my favorite goals to encourage is working on half and full marathon times, especially for those looking for a Boston Qualifier.
